Let’s talk about promiscuous women or “whores,” “sluts,” “slags,” “hobags,” “meneaters,” and whatever the fuck else.
So, last Monday, I found myself asking my friend (don’t judge me, I’m not a freak…O_o) “Why is it if a man has so much sex, then he’s a godsend, but if a woman has a lot of sex she’s a slutty, undesireable fag?”
They literally shook their head and gave me a batted eyelid of judgement, because clearly, duh, not knowing why that’s wrong is stupid and you is such an idiot.
They then went on to respond ”If a key unlocks many doors, then its a master key, but if a lock is opened by many keys, then it’s a shit lock.”
…hold the fuck up.
Let’s just cut to the basics. First, holy shit, that doesn’t even make any sense. If a key unlocks many doors then it is a pretty shit key. I mean, keys are shaped for one door only, not a thousand. It’s like having a top secret code for MI5 that keeps all of the secrets locked being the same as your phone number, it’s pretty shit if everyone knows it immediately.
Secondly, why is it only women who can be degraded into this stereotype of a slut? I’ve heard the term “man-whore” coined in a few conversations, but it’s not very often at all. And what makes men and women different because of the genitalia they were assigned at birth? We all have boobs. Fun fact, the nipple area of a man and a breast of a woman have the same molecular and embryonic structure and are both designed by the body in the same way, the only difference being women are able to lactate and have bigger boobs than men. (nipple stimulation is pleasurable in both men and women too, just a tip for the future.)
Back to the point. Men have been stereotyped as better off in the sex department as they get quicker orgasms, they can take virginity like it’s a prize, the list goes on and on.
But in actuality, men and women aren’t that different at all. And it’s not that terrible if they want to get sexual a million times a day. The body is designed to orgasm and get sexual, its natural. It’s the reason you get an erection or wet when you see an attractive person walking down the street and you feel a warm feeling in your stomach telling you to shag them senseless, it’s human functionality.
If a man want’s to sleep around endlessly with consensual woman, that’s his business. If a woman want’s to have a quadruple orgy then that’s also her business, and guess what, it doesn’t make them a hero or any less of a person if they want to do so. In fact, they can rip their clothes off and fuck seventeen times a day with thirty different people because that’s what they want to do.
Granted, there is people who lure others and trick them into having sex with them (in both sexes, women do it too, not just men) and it can make them feel pretty shit afterwards, but that’s a different subject and it still doesn’t make them a slut/man-whore.
Slut-shaming is also seen to be a sign of insecurity, and that people who call others sluts because they have a little too much sex are not very comfortable with themselves. I wouldn’t say worry about that too much, though, the media tend to take the idea of sluts and drill it into your brain anyway so it’s no surprise that some people think that way, but just be honest with yourself.
TL;DR. If you catch yourself calling a woman a slut, think about it logically, would you do the same if it were a man? Is it fair to call people who enjoy having sex a modern derogatory name? Is it your business if they go around sleeping with other people as much as they like? In fact, do the same if you catch yourself calling a man a douchebag because he sleeps with a lot of women or men, again, it’s their business, but if they go around bragging about it then they could be insecure about their personality or how they are perceived.
Let’s cut the bullshit, shall we?
